Penny is a financial document-intelligence platform operated by TechNest (Flying V Labs) (“Penny,” “we,” “us”). Penny is provided to organizations (“customers”) whose authorized users access it to turn their business documents into a reconciled ledger.
Penny sets only strictly necessary cookies: your sign-in session and which organization and line of business you are working in. Web analytics are aggregate and cookieless. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking.
To provide the service — extracting, organizing, reconciling, and letting you search and export your documents; to authenticate users and isolate each organization’s data; to secure, monitor, debug, and improve the service (including learning which features are used, so we can improve or retire them); and to communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your documents to train our own or any third party’s general AI models.
We share data only with providers that help us run Penny, under contract:
These providers may process data in the United States. We add or replace a provider only with notice on this page and, where an agreement requires it, to your organization directly.
Each organization’s data is isolated at the database level. Source files are stored privately and served only through short-lived, access-controlled links. Sensitive third-party credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to production data is limited to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
We retain your documents and ledger for as long as your organization’s account is active. The in-app activity log keeps the record of each action but removes the personal data in it (who did it) after 365 days; a person’s data can be removed from the log earlier on request. On account closure we delete or return your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for billing records. Backups are retained for a short rolling window and then expire.
If we confirm a security incident affecting your organization’s data, we notify your organization’s administrator without undue delay with what happened, what is affected and what we are doing. Our security controls are summarized in the Trust & Security overview available to customers.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Because Penny processes documents on behalf of your organization, please direct such requests to your organization’s administrator, or contact us and we will assist.
Penny is a business service used by organizations and their staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
We update this page when what we collect, who we share it with or how long we keep it changes. The version and date at the top move; material changes are also sent to your organization’s administrator.
